That little thing called love…

May 30, 2008

Rach: It’ll all change when you meet Miss Right.

Coop: And how am I supposed to know when I do that?

Rach: You don’t know, not straight away. It just feels warm and comfortable and you hang on in there and give it a chance. Before you know it, you’re like, yeah this is it, it must be love.

Hec: Yeah I’m with her.

Coop: I’m with her too.

Luce: I don’t agree! I think you know immediately. As soon as your eyes… Then everything that happens from then on just proves that you had been right in that first moment. When you suddenly realize that you were incomplete and now you are whole…

Hec: Actually I’m with her instead.

Coop: I’m with her too!

So it would seem that when all things are said and done, at heart I’m a true romantic. I can’t help but think that out there is the ‘perfect love’ for everyone. The type you see in movies…the type that is all shiny and wrapped up in a ribbon. The type that brings such joy into your life that people can just tell how happy and in love you are. I’m lucky enough to have found it ..and every day I wake up, I am shown that in that first instance, I was right.

“At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just not facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls. And sometimes…all you need is one.”- Peyton Sawyer (One Tree Hill)

I am Iron Man!

May 30, 2008

Ok, so today was the big day! It began at 11:10am with the handing in of my last ever piece of University work *tear* Let me just say folks, today I realised something important – I have a serious Peter Pan complex. I don’t want to grow up and move on, I’d like to stay right here thank you very much! No such luck unfortunately =(  …if anyone would like to fund me in a masters of some sort however, please do get in touch!!

Anyways, the events of the day only got better, as I have just returned from (finally) seeing ‘Iron Man’. What a film! All I can say, is that it really did live up to all the hype! While many of my friends are flocking to go and see the latest “emotional rollercoaster” that is ‘Sex in the City’, I thought I would stay true to my geek nature and go for a bit of classic Marvel! For all those yet to see the movie – please do go see it! You will not be dissapointed!  NB- Stay right until the end of the credits for a little suprise *cough* Sammy Jackson *cough*  My day can only really get better however as BGT is on tonight, and I’ll be watching it with my girl this time rather than like a loser on my own! haha!

On an end note, I though it might be nifty (yes that’s right, nifty!) to leave some kind of deep and meaningful quote at the end of each blogpost! So here is number 1 …are you ready?! …deep breaths…

“I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul” – William Ernest Henley

Everything needs a beginning…

First of all, I would just like to state that this is all Kirsty’s fault. Fans (?) of mine would know that, for a time, I was an avid poet, lyricist, fanfic writer and fanvid creator, however recently this creative streak had all stopped.  I resigned this to the fact that I was having some actual sex happy in a relationship …but apparently now there is some part of my inner-emo that feels it is being ignored, and so wishes to speak out! Kirsty then introduced me to this site, and bob’s your uncle, we have a blog!

What of course this really is however, is the purest exampe of procrastination. I have one final essay to proof read and then technically, my University education is over. I think that I am allowing this essay to drag out as long as humanly possible in some kind of attempt at denying the inevitable, and pretending I’m still some kind of second year. Who really wants to proof read a 3250 word essay on Wikipedia anyways? I assure you it is not as interesting as it may seem (even though I know hold some of the most random Wikipedia information ever!). This essay however did enlighten me to one important thing (which if anyone actually reads my blog, they will probably soon find out..) my spelling is terrible. It took me around 2 or 3 attempts each time to spell encyclopedia encyclopaedia correctly – sad, but true!

Anyways, I assume I will update this blog semi-regularly with all the fun and ecitement that is the life of me, and appreciate all comments etc about my little life. Also, if anyone knows how to change the tag line under my blog name to something a little cooler ..such information would be awesome!

Well..this is exiting isn’t it!
