A little Clexa love – The 100

January 23, 2016

So it has been a while, but I made a new fanvideo. I was testing out some new editing software and made this short one.

Fans of The 100, buckle in…

Return to form…

March 23, 2011

Creatively, I’ve been out of the game a while. In a time not so long ago, I wrote poetry, songs and short stories. I made fan-videos on YouTube, and I was blogging at least once a week. I’m not exactly sure what happened to all of that, but I have missed the creative outlet I once had. I think maybe leaving University and not ‘having’ to write and be scheduled to things made some of the other parts of life similarly uninspired. Yesterday that changed. I have no idea where the flash of inspiration came from (and I’m certainly not going to complain about it!), but yesterday I sat and made a music video for the first time in 3 years. I’m blaming a TV show I’ve just become ever so slightly obsessed with… But whatever the reason, it can only be a good thing right?! I guess make the decision for yourself –

The video is based on the characters of Emily (Shay Mitchell), Maya (Bianca Lawson) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) from the ABC Family Drama Pretty Little Liars. Set to the song Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap …hope you enjoy!

Guess lesbianism gets my creative juices flowing… :p

Good to be British!

February 3, 2010

Yes Britain, it is true – one of the latest lesbian content TV shows, will be coming from home territory! Now since losing The L Word and South of Nowhere, I have been craving such content …and, while I appreciate the joys of Skins being back on our screens…

…I do feel the need for more. It seems the gay Gods have answered the call however, with the release of a new show – Lip Service.

The show is going to be one of the latest dramas on BBC Three, about the sex lives and love affairs of twenty-something lesbians living in Glasgow. Created and written by Harriet Braun, she says this of the series:

“Based on my own experiences and those of my friends, I wanted to write a sexy, funny and irreverent drama that reflects what it is to be a young gay woman living in Britain today. I loved The L Word but it’s high time we saw some contemporary British lesbians, with all the bad weather, trips to the pub and repressed emotions that go with that. It will be as funny as it is pathos filled, because in my experience that’s how life is.”

Here’s a first look …I can’t wait 🙂

That’s soooo gay…

January 31, 2010

So my mother found out about the latest lady love in my life, and things didn’t exactly go as well as I’d hoped. Seeing as I came out to both of my parents about a year and a half ago now, I thought that entering into another lesbian relationship wouldn’t particularly come as a shock to her …turns out I was wrong. On telling her that I was in fact dating Charlotte, her exact response was – “I thought you were over the whole girl thing and were back to boys…”

I know right?! How are you supposed to reply to that one?!

I’ve been seeing different girls on and off over the last year, and granted I haven’t told my parents about any of them (I had to make sure they’d stick first…clearly they didn’t! lol!), but I’d of said that my behaviour has been anything but under the radar – I mean, my mother has Facebook for Christ’s sake! All of a sudden though it seems that I’ve returned to the penis, which I find amusing that she thinks this, seeing as the last naked man I saw was somewhere in the region of 5 years ago! Apparently even the rainbow flag in my bedroom isn’t enough to give it away! Mothers… crazy, crazy species!

Crush of the week!

January 27, 2010

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted one of these, but then maybe its been a while since I’ve spotted anyone I like :p  Never the less, I’m back into action now 😉

I’ve just re-watched Series 3 of Skins, and I have to say, I loved it more than ever. Plus, with Series 4 starting on E4 on the 28th, my crush of the week goes to…

(drumroll please…)

Kathryn Prescott

I don’t know about you, but she’s just one of those that you wish really were a bit gay outside of TV land too…

Golden Gleek!

January 20, 2010

So everyone, how happy are we that Glee won the Golden Globe for Best TV Comedy/Musical?!

And don’t they look lovely doing it!?

Sadly, Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison missed out on their Best Actor and Actress award, but I think more shockingly, Jane Lynch was just plain wronged by being passed up for the Best Supporting Actress in a TV series. As Snarker put it – I can hear Sue Sylvester screaming: “You think that’s hard? Try losing to the Golden Globe to a polygamist, that’s hard.”

On the bright side though, the event did draw to light what we’ve all been expecting some time – the question of Lynch’s sexuality. She did in fact bring her girlfriend (to be ‘wife’ in May) to the awards, and looked rather happy about it …as was I 🙂

Cruuuuuuuush Time!!

January 5, 2010

Hold your breath and pray this will kick ass!

The Runaways

Yes, that’s Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie and Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett.

Yes, you’re not the only one that finds that seriously hot.

And yes, the rumours are true, they will share a “passionate kiss” on screen!

The movie is set to debut over the pond March 19th, so who knows when the good ol’ UK will get it …but it better be soon after …I can’t wait!

…I miss this show.

I often feel like I’ve lost mine…

Strangely, it’s been quite the productive week, and yet I haven’t posted anything here. I really do find it easier to write when I’m miserable, so this really must have been a good week :p What can I say, I’ve been busy! I finish with one girlfriend and then next week I have someone else asking me out. I think friends with benefits might be the safest option for now …it seems me and commitment are not such a great combo these days, and I don’t want to hurt anyone else. Better to be safe than sorry!!

Best kept secret…

November 29, 2009

Also, the irony of the picture in the first secret on the site this week did not escape me…

(it was on the wall while I told you that I’d think things over for a few days, even though I knew I’d already made my mind up…)
